Leeds fans urge Bielsa to use connections for new players

Marcelo Bielsa has made some start to life as Leeds United boss.

Indeed, the Whites opened their 2018-19 Championship season with a very impressive 3-1 win over Stoke City, before thumping Derby County 4-1 at Pride Park last weekend.

Leeds also progressed in the League Cup on Tuesday night courtesy of a 2-1 win over Bolton Wanderers at Elland Road.

Bielsa has managed to do some clever transfer business since arriving, with Jack Harrison coming on loan from Manchester City, and Jamal Blackman and Lewis Baker from Chelsea.

It is understood, meanwhile, that the Leeds manager still wants to bring in a couple more players before the loan window ends.

However, Bielsa claimed at his press conference on Thursday afternoon that he would not look to use his relationships with the likes of Man City boss Pep Guardiola and Tottenham Hotspur’s Mauricio Pochettino in order to land Premier League stars on loan.

The Leeds fans, however, are hoping that their head coach is bluffing, and have urged him to use his network to further improve the squad.
