Leeds fans are all saying the same thing after the Under-23 side destroyed Bristol City on Monday night – get Sam Dalby in the first team!
There hasn’t been much to cheer about at Elland Road since Christmas, and the arrival of Paul Heckingbottom in February has not exactly made things better.
Since the ex-Barnsley man took over, Leeds have won just three times, and have been one of the worst teams in the division in the calendar year.
Above all else, it seems like Heckingbottom doesn’t really know what his best team is, chopping and changing the line-up almost at random week after week.
Of course, injuries have played a huge part in his varied team selection, but one positive the 40 year-old has brought is a trust in youth.
Tom Pearce, Paudie O’Connor and Bailey Peacock-Farrell have all excelled under Heckingbottom, and now fans are calling for one more youngster to make his first team debut.
The Under 23-side beat Bristol City 4-0 on Monday night, and towering striker Sam Dalby scored a delightful goal yet again.
The lack of a proper goalscorer has been a major problem for the first team, and fans are all saying the same thing about Dalby’s composed chip – there’s no way Caleb Ekuban would have managed it.

Bang him and Edmonson up front for 2 games and see what they do. Any money it's 20x better than our current forwards.

How many times has Ekuban been in that position and failed. Give Dalby a chance. Also Jack Clarke.
