Leeds fans would welcome Jeremain Lens deal

According to Fotomac, Leeds United scouted Besiktas attacker Jeremain Lens during his team’s 3-2 win over Sarpsborg in the Europa League last week.

Lens scored twice during that particular match to help Besiktas come from 2-0 behind to keep their hopes of making the next round of the competition alive.

There is no question that Leeds would have been impressed with what they saw from the Dutchman, and the Championship club’s supporters are keen for Lens to make the move to Elland Road.

The 31-year-old joined Besiktas from Sunderland on a permanent deal during the summer, and has scored five times and registered six assists in 18 appearances for his Turkish club this term.

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa has a number of attacking options in his squad, but a move for Lens – a title winner with both AZ and Dynamo Kiev – would be welcomed by the club’s supporters.
