Leeds United dropped more points in the English Championship on Saturday, drawing 1-1 with relegation threatened Sunderland at Elland Road.
Paul Heckingbottom’s side badly need a string of victories to give supporters hope ahead of next season but there has been little improvement since he was appointed manager and they’ve won just one of their last seven matches.
The match against Sunderland was a chance to punish a struggling Black Cats side, but Leeds failed to create much, having to settle for Pablo Hernadez equaliser as their reward for the afternoon.
Fans were left frustrated with the result and performance, particularly criticising striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga after an ineffective display. He was eventually substituted off with 10 minutes remaining as Leeds searched for a winner.
With 10 goals and four assists this season, the striker hasn’t been a total flop at Elland Road but many are now on the bandwagon of not trying to sign him permanently this summer, believing there are better options out there.
Supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts…
Do not agree with the hype around Lasogga. He can finish, but he’s too slow and never in the areas he needs to be. We shouldn’t renew his loan or sign him in the summer for me. #lufc

Thoughts on yesterday, I’ll be fine starting next season with BPF as number 1 but I’m far from convinced I’ll be fine with PH starting next season as manager. And do not sign Lasogga. #lufc

Have to highlight Lasogga today. On his day, he's fantastic. Showed next to nothing today – not sure he broke a sweat. Possible injury, low morale, a lack of support – hard to pinpoint one particular cause. #lufc

Never have I seen a player as lethargic as Lasogga. #lufc

People that complain about Ekuban — are you seeing the difference with Lasogga today? He's been dreadful. Hasn't made a single run or connected play with Samu & Pablo. You can't just pretend this isn't hurting how we play. #LUFC

Lasogga just pointing where he expected the ball to be played, when he himself is in a fucking stupid position is exactly why we need to sign better strikers.
Can create. Can’t finish.
