The managerial merry-go-round nabbed another soul this week when Jaap Stam was sacked by Reading.
The news particularly peaked the interest of Leeds United fans given that they were previously linked to the Manchester United legend prior to hiring Andreas Christiansen.
The Dane did not stay at Elland Road for the long haul, though, as he was sacked in February following a run of disappointing results.
Paul Heckingbottom swiftly took over, but he has picked up just one Championship win since becoming Leeds boss.
The dismal run, which has dropped the Yorkshire outfit to 14th in the table and 12 points adrift of a playoff spot, has made some supporters yearn for the return of Christiansen.
Today, after Reading confirmed the departure of Stam, reliable Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay claimed on Twitter that the Whites had considered a move for the ex-United star.
In response, many Leeds fans made it clear that they do not want the club to revisit this idea.

I don’t want his boring possession football anywhere near Leeds United.his comments after the Leeds defeat last year were bizarre at best

Stam better than Hecky but would not want. Please please Andrea..Bring in/upgrade Carlos till end season. If he does well…job his… but a guarantee to return to u 23 role too. His knowledge of the u23s so important in mixing many to full squad over this perfect trial period.

Shows that whoever has been advising AR on managerial appointments doesn't have a clue.

Don’t want Stam anywhere near this club. But then again I wish Heckinbottam wasn’t anywhere near this club. Silly gamble and cheap fix that isn’t working, on the contrary we are going backwards at a rate of knots. If it wasn’t for TCs early season points we would be going down.
