Leeds United manager Paul Heckingbottom revealed in his pre-match press conference for the Championship clash against Norwich City on Saturday that full-back Laurens De Bock is back in training and available after a hamstring injury, and Whites fans have been quick to have their say on the news.
The Yorkshire outfit only signed the 25-year-old from Club Brugge during the January transfer window, but he is already largely unpopular with the Elland Road faithful following some poor performances, and fans on Twitter were left baffled by his comments last month.
Youngster Tom Pearce has since established himself as the first-choice option at left-back in the absence of the Belgian, who hasn’t played since the 2-2 draw against Reading at the Madejski Stadium on March 10.
Leeds supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on De Bock potentially being ready for selection this weekend, and while one said “he’s crap, bet he plays on Saturday”, another simply labelled him as a “daft signing”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
