A broken toe in August forced Adam Forshaw to fight for his position in the Leeds United team.
Unfortunately for the midfielder, Mateusz Klich has grabbed hold of the opportunity to get in the team and isn’t letting go.
Since recovering from his injury, Forshaw has played in six Championship matches but has not started a single one of them.
In fact, across those six outings the midfielder has racked up only 90 minutes of competitive action.
On Saturday, Leeds suffered only their second league defeat of the season as they lost 2-1 to Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
Forshaw was not in the squad for the encounter but after the final whistle plenty of supporters suggested on Twitter that the 27-year-old should be brought back into the team.
I just wonder what forshaw needs to do to get in? He needs to be playing now best player we have on the ball. More experience in the middle. #lufc

I’d be looking at Forshaw over Phillips for Wednesday night. Probably bring in Blackman too. No bother for sentiment of early season form.

Think Forshaw would be decent when Saiz is banned. Decent tackle and passer of the ball

I agree. I’d give Baker and Forshaw a go. We need someone to boss midfield and a little bit of creativity in there. You get 2 or 3 decent balls a game from Saiz. He gets knocked off the ball to easily for me. Thought Phillips was outstanding today.

After that game I’d drop Saiz he’s too predictable jinks left goes right . I’d play klich there and play forshaw instead of Saiz also never play Dallas at LB again for me I’d have played Pearce #LUFC

Everyone needs to take their Saiz tinted glasses off, plays 1 ball in 10 thats any use, doesn’t tackle, head or shoot either. Forshaw twice the player and is sat on the bench!!! #LUFC

@PhilHayYEP think it’s time for Forshaw to come in for Alioski and play 3 in CM leaving Roof Hernandez and Saiz and let fullbacks bomb on

Bielsa’s side currently sit fourth in the table, two points adrift of leaders Middlesbrough.
On Wednesday the Yorkshire club will be back in action when they face Ipswich Town at Elland Road.
