Leeds United’s poor form in the English Championship continued on Tuesday night with another defeat, this time away to Preston North End.
The Elland Road side have won just twice in 2018 and have slipped down to 14th position in the table, far from in and around the play-off positions, which is where they want to be.
Fans are growing increasingly frustrated with results and performances, even turning against once popular players that delighted them last season.
One of those is Pontus Jansson, who went down with a head injury in the lead up to Preston’s second goal of the evening. Leeds players and staff were furious that the play was not stopped, but supporters appear less sympathetic to their plight.
Some reckon he went down to easily when the pressure was on and Preston manager Alex Neil has also questioned the extent of his injury after the match.
Even not taking into account the incident, many weren’t with his performance up to that point and many now feel it’s best if he leaves the club this summer.
Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts…
Jansson gives us the old Nordic pillager act when things are going well, but he strikes me as a bit meek when dragged into deep water.
I'm not sure he'll play for us again. I think he wants out. #lufc

The Chris Wood money obviously went on physio supplies for Jansson who collapses to the deck whenever the pressure builds. Starting to look a bit of a bottlejob. #lufc

Imagine if this time last year you’d have been told that this year we’d be mid table and Jansson would be the softest thing since charming toilet roll #LUFC

Is there anyone out there that honestly still idolises Mr 'all talk, no bottle' Jansson? #lufc

Probably the last time we will see Jansson in a Leeds shirt, hasn’t looked bothered for weeks now #LUFC

Jansson’s always down injured when we’re losing. Bottle job

I'd rather Jansson leave in the summer I've decided, has lost all passion and fakes injury when it gets tough #lufc
