Leeds United are back and they’re back with a bang.
Last season’s playoff disappointment had clearly given Marcelo Bielsa’s men a healthy dose of motivation when they travelled to Ashton Gate to face fellow promotion hopefuls Bristol City on Sunday.
Lee Johnson’s City side are far from pushovers at this level. However, as El Loco straddled his favourite bucket, and let his summer workings play out, Leeds’ stars methodically and ruthlessly picked apart the Robins.
One by one the goals hit the back of the net as the Whites ramped up the pressure in typical style. And while every sweet conversation was pleasing in their own way, it was little magician Pablo Hernandez’s first strike that really got fists pumping and scarves swirling.
Outside the box, left peg, top bins, limbs. What more needs to be said?
