Loan move for Juan Foyth at Leeds would benefit all parties

Leeds United are interested in bringing Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth to Elland Road on loan next season according to Football London.

What’s the story?

The 20-year-old Argentine joined Spurs last summer but was limited to eight cup appearances and didn’t play once in the Premier League.

Pochettino has previously spoken of how the young centre-back has the potential to become one of the top defenders in Europe but it appears he may be available for loan next season and Leeds are interested in snapping him up according to the report.

A chance for him to shine

Foyth has shown in his limited game time in England that he has all the capabilities to become a top-class defender with assurance on the ball and a good reading of the game.

A loan move would benefit both clubs and give the 20-year-old the time he needs to develop and play regularly in English football.

Foyth’s compatriot Marcelo Bielsa would know how to bring the best out of the youngster and he could forge a very strong partnership with Pontus Jansson in defence.
