Leeds United have signed Chelsea academy graduate Lewis Baker on a one-year loan deal.
The 23-year-old midfielder has been on the books of Chelsea for years, but as it customary with their youth players, he has spent a number of years on loan and not made a senior appearance for the Blues.
He has spent time at Sheffield Wednesday, Vitesse and most recently Middlesbrough, and now the promising player has become new Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa’s first signing for the club.

Just before Leeds announced the signing, we asked fans if they thought Baker would be a good signing for the Whites.
Fortunately for the Elland Road faithful, 71 per cent wanted to sign the attacking midfielder, so they will clearly be pleased with their club’s business.
Of course, Leeds fans will be hoping that Bielsa dips into the market many more times over the summer but it’s reassuring to see that he gauged their reaction well with his first foray.
