Leeds fans are desperate for to add more goals from midfield in the January transfer market, and Sunderland’s Chris Maguire could be the perfect signing.
Leeds got off to a fabulous start to the season, but have suffered a couple of disappointing results in the last few weeks.
The Whites need to take some of the goalscoring pressure off Kemar Roofe, as the likes of Samuel Saiz and Ezgjan Alioski are just not getting on the scoresheet enough.
Maguire has been sensational for Sunderland this season, and the 29-year-old could become a new cult hero at Elland Road if the Whites move for him in January.

Maguire has bounced around several clubs in his career, due mainly to what is often deemed to be a bad attitude. This very attitude is exactly what Sunderland fans love about him though, and it’s not hard to see why.
The 29-year-old, who can play virtually anywhere across the attack, has scored five times in League One this season, and when he’s not scoring wondergoals he is usually winding the other team up.
He has played his best stuff for the Black Cats on the right wing, where his incredible technique, vision and crossing is on full display.
The Scottish international has both the skill to play “Bielsa-ball” and the work rate to function in Leeds’ new high-tempo style.
If the Whites were to sign him in January, a couple of crunching tackles, long-range screamers and passionate celebrations on the way to Premier League promotion would have Elland Road singing his name for years to come, and he is the sort of character who would “get Leeds”.
