Leeds United face Ipswich Town tonight and fans are hopeful that Pablo Hernandez lines-up for the Peacocks from the off.
Hernandez had been out of action with a hamstring injury for the best part of two months, but returned at the weekend as a second half substitute against Blackburn.
The Spaniard had regularly featured and scored for Leeds throughout August whilst playing on the right hand side for Marcelo Biesla’s side in his unbeaten start in charge.
Without the involvement of the 33-year-old, form dipped and Leeds found themselves no longer at the top of the table, as Sheffield United, Middlesbrough and West Brom usurped the Elland Road side.
Biesla even admitted after the Blackburn defeat that he had doubts over Hernandez’s fitness going into the match, noting: “I took into account his absence and all the games he missed.
“I thought we would need him and I thought he would have a bigger influence as a substitute than as a starter.
“What Pablo did on the pitch was important.”
Leeds United fans certainly seemed to agree with the Argentine manager on the impressive display the winger put together during his 19-minute cameo.

Don’t half miss Hernandez lol but then we’re missing Douglas, he’s become a massive player for us.

Leeds’ general performances for me have been pretty good, despite not winning. Bar the weekend game, where they werent great (but not terrible either) they’ve been the better side in most games. Have really missed Roofe and Hernandez. Still have them top 3-4 side
