Revealed: 47% of Leeds fans want January move for McGeady

Leeds fans are desperate for some more squad depth in January, and 47 per cent of fans think they should move for Sunderland wing-wizard Aiden McGeady.

Leeds are in fantastic form at the moment, winning their last three games without conceding a single goal.

However, the Whites have been devastated by injuries throughout the season, and there’s no question they need some reinforcements in January.

McGeady could be an option, as the Irish international is simply too good for League One.

The Sunderland winger has six goals and four assists in all competitions this season, and only has 18 months left on his current contract.

The 32-year-old wouldn’t dislodge Pablo Hernandez from the starting line-up, but his trickery and directness could be a real threat off the bench.

He would also be well equipped to work hard off the ball as Marcelo Bielsa demands, because Sunderland boss Jack Ross has instilled a similar ethos at the Stadium of Light this season.
