Revealed: 67% of Leeds fans want to see Bielsa make a move for Shane Long

According to our recent poll, the majority of Leeds fans want to see Marcelo Bielsa make a January move for Shane Long if Southampton sign Roma striker Edin Dzeko.

The Mirror recently reported that Southampton, Crystal Palace and Cardiff have been on alert since Dzeko hinted that he would like a return to the Premier League, and with Southampton drawing a blank once again in their 0-0 draw with Newcastle, he would surely be a welcome addition.

Leeds fans would clearly also welcome another striker at the club, as with summer-signing Patrick Bamford out injured for the majority of the season, Marcelo Bielsa is relying on just Kemar Roofe and youngster Tyler Roberts.

Long would be the perfect man to fit the Argentine manager’s system as the 31-year-old is one of the hardest working strikers in the Premier League, and Bielsa demands high-tempo pressing from the front, which Roofe in particular has excelled at.

In total, 67 per cent of the Leeds fans that answered our poll wanted the Whites to make a move for Long. Check out the full results below.
