Revealed: 75% of Leeds fans want the club to sign Karl Darlow in January

According to a recent Football FanCast poll, a large majority of Leeds fans would support a move for Newcastle goalkeeper Karl Darlow in January.

The Sun recently reported that the 28-year-old is a target for both Leeds and Aston Villa, but it is clear that Whites fans want to beat their rivals to his signature.

Darlow has lost his place in the Newcastle side to Martin Dubravka, who initially joined on loan in January this year before completing a permanent deal during the summer. The Slovakian international’s subsequent form has seen Darlow play just once this season in the Carabao Cup loss to Nottingham Forest, and he is now clearly looking for more first-team football.

It is no surprise then that Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is interested, as loanee Jamal Blackman recently broke his leg in an U23s game and was forced to return to his parent club Chelsea for treatment, leaving the Elland Road outfit with just 20-year-old rookie Will Huffer as back-up for Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
