Revealed: 78% of Leeds fans want Lee Grant to solve their goalkeeping dilemma

According to our recent poll, 78 per cent of Leeds fans want Marcelo Bielsa to make a January move for Lee Grant in order to solve their goalkeeping problems.

The Whites recently lost Jamal Blackman after the Chelsea loanee suffered a broken leg in an U23 game against Birmingham at Thorp Arch, meaning he was forced to return to his parent club for treatment.

Bielsa’s problems were then compounded as Bailey Peacock-Farrell suffered a training ground injury, meaning the relatively unknown 20-year-old stopper William Huffer made his debut in the weekend’s clash with Bristol City.

The Englishman came through the game unscathed and with a clean sheet on his first senior appearance. However, it is clear that the Elland Road outfit will have to make an addition in January if they are serious about challenging for promotion.

Grant then could be the perfect option, and it seems that Leeds fans agree. The 35-year-old joined Manchester United in a shock move during the summer, but he is the third-choice keeper behind David De Gea and Sergio Romero, so he would surely be able to force a move if it meant game time in the Championship for United’s old rivals.
