Having lost key attacker Samuel Saiz to Getafe, Leeds United may well be forced into the January transfer market.
The Whites are currently flying high at the top of the Championship, but losing a player of Saiz’s ability for the second half of the 2018-19 campaign is an issue.
Head coach Marcelo Bielsa has long claimed that the club will not be active in the winter window, but the situation might well have now changed.
With that in mind, we recently asked the Leeds fans whether they would be interested in a deal for Peterborough United midfielder Marcus Maddison.
Maddison was linked with a move to Leeds back in August, but ultimately remained with Peterborough.
The 25-year-old managed 12 goals and 23 assists for Peterborough last season, whilst he already has two goals and 10 assists during the 2018-19 campaign.
In all, Maddison has registered 44 goals and 71 assists in 198 appearances for Peterborough since joining the club from Gateshead in 2014, which is staggering.
And it is not a surprise to learn that 84% of the Leeds fans polled voted yes to moving for the former England C international next month:
