Revealed: Majority of Leeds United fans want to swipe Worrall from under Rangers’ nose

On the face of it, the necessity for a central defender may not be strong for Leeds United.

Everything is going to plan in the Championship at the moment as the team are sitting at the top of the table.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have picked up 13 points from five matches having won one and drawn one.

They have had some injury problems at the back, though, with Pontus Jansson having a spell out and now Liam Cooper is expected to be on the sidelines for a significant chunk of time.

Bielsa has called on Gaetano Berardi to act as cover, and so far it seems to be working, but perhaps it is worth the manager considering dipping back into the transfer market.

The Championship outfit are eligible to seal loan moves until Friday, which could be ideal for Leeds if another injury problem comes their way.

With that in mind, we asked you if the Whites should try to scupper Rangers’ move for Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall.

Last week, The Express reported that the Gers are leading the race for the centre-back, while Celtic have also held an interest.

The results of our poll show that the majority of Leeds fans would be happy for the club to bring in Worrall.
