That’s us missing out on promotion again: Leeds fans bemoan Radrizzani comments

Leeds United fans on Twitter are preparing for a poor transfer window after Andrea Radrizzani’s recent comments.

At the Financial Times Business of Football summit in London, the Whites’ owner said (via Leeds Live): “We will have to run a difficult summer in terms of transfer market, but we have a great academy.”

Supporters are understandably less than happy with these comments as they were preparing for the club to push on after barely missing out on promotion to the Premier League this season.

Many had been getting excited on social media about the potential arrival of Dwight Gayle in recent days, but these comments seem to have quashed that speculation.

This shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, as the club’s latest financial accounts showed a £4 million loss, so there isn’t too much in the kitty to splurge on transfers.

Despite the warning signs being there, supporters are still incredibly disappointed with their owner’s comments and are now bracing themselves for a poor transfer window.
