Three reasons Leeds should take a punt on Aston Villa outcast Aaron Tshibola

Aston Villa announced on their official Twitter account on Thursday that midfielder Aaron Tshibola had returned to the club after his season-long loan spell with League One outfit MK Dons was cut short.

The 22-year-old had left the Midlands outfit on a temporary basis after falling out of favour under Steve Bruce at Villa Park last term, despite only joining the club in a £5m deal from Reading in the summer of 2016.

The midfielder has struggled for game time since that point and as well as his disappointing spell with the Dons, he also failed to make an impression during a similar move to Nottingham Forest in the second-half of last season.

Meanwhile, Leeds have lost seven of their last nine Championship fixtures after topping the standings earlier in the campaign, and manager Thomas Christiansen may look to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window.

While Tshibola is going through a tough time right now, the Yorkshire outfit could be making a shrewd move by bringing him to Elland Road.
