There’s been weeks and weeks of speculation about his future, but it seems as if the Eddie Nketiah saga isn’t going to have the fairytale ending that many supporters may have been hoping for.
It seems that we’re going to have to put this one down as a failed experiment as credible reports are beginning to emerge about Arsenal recalling the striker.
Of course, news of Nketiah leaving Leeds has seen a number of other Championship sides sniffing around him.

Reports from a Bristol Post journalist indicate that three Championship playoff contenders are chasing his signature as Brentford, Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City are all after him.
It would be typical if the 20-year-old went to one of these clubs and helped them pip United to an automatic promotion spot.
Ironically, the club that Leeds may want Nketiah to join is the team that are closest to them in the table out of the three options available.
Brentford may be in fourth place, but if the youngster headed to Griffin Park he wouldn’t improve their promotion credentials as much as he would boost the Robins’ or the Owls’ chances.
This is down to the fact that unlike the other two aforementioned clubs, Brentford already have a top-class centre-forward who has been scoring on a regular basis.
Thus, the addition of another impressive forward would see them remain at a similar level, especially as they usually play with just a solitary striker in attack.
In comparison, Andreas Weimann has scored just nine times for Bristol and while Steven Fletcher has netted 12 for the Owls, they’ve been overly-reliant on the Scot as their next highest scorer has netted just three, so they could really do with another outlet.
Landing someone of Nketiah’s capabilities, therefore, could improve their chances of promotion greatly.
Brentford may well be Leeds’ closest challengers but they’d likely benefit the least from Nketiah’s arrival. They must hope he goes to Ashton Gate if he is indeed recalled.
