Tyler Roberts made his long-awaited debut for Leeds United in a pre-season friendly against Southend United.
The striker moved to Elland Road in January from West Bromwich Albion on a four-year deal for a fee believed to be in the region of £2.5million.
However, he suffered a series of injuries, the 19-year-old never managed to make an appearance for Leeds last season.
Leeds fans got to see their man in action for the first time as the club took on Southend United in a pre-season friendly.
Roberts came on as a second half substitution and was lively as the Whites claimed a 1-1 draw against the League One outfit.
With Marcelo Bielsa desperately scouring the market for a new striker, it seems many have forgotten that Leeds already have a talented option on their books.
Leeds fans have been reacting to Roberts’ debut for the club on social media and here’s what they’ve had to say.
If Tyler Roberts stays fit then why do we need to go out and splash big wages and money?! We have a good squad of players who can play many positions. I can’t wait for season to start now!!! #LUFC #mot #alaw
