Unfortunate: Leeds United fans blame injuries for failure after stats revealed on Twitter

Leeds United fans on Twitter have been blaming the club’s terrible injury record for their failure to get promoted this season.

This comes after a detailed account of club stats detailing information about their injury problems was published by LUFC data on social media.

The Whites’ three strikers seemingly had it the worst out of everyone, with Kemar Roofe, Tyler Roberts and Patrick Bamford all failing to play more than 60% of games. 

Leeds supporters have often pointed towards their failure to put away chances as the main reason for their failure last season, but it seems that the amount of time their strikers spent on the sidelines contributed to that.

Indeed, Leeds did have the worst conversion rate in the entire division, but their inability to keep their main strikers fit for any prolonged period of time clearly exacerbated the situation.

The Yorkshire club have been so unlucky over the past 12 months and if they can avoid another injury crisis during their second season under Bielsa, the outcome could be a triumphant one.
