According to Spanish outlet El Gol Digital, Valencia are interested in signing Leeds United midfielder Samu Saiz this summer.
Attacking-midfielder Saiz is currently on loan with La Liga side Getafe, having left Elland Road in January, citing personal issues.
Are fans being priced out of the Championship as well as the Premier League? The angry Bolton fan in the video below certainly believes so…
However, his form for the Spanish club has left plenty to be desired and respected journalist Phil Hay believes that Getafe are not inclined to take up their permanent purchase option on the 28-year-old.
in all seriousness, nothing that’s gone on at Getafe so far suggests they’ll be rushing to take up the permanent option. But having spoken to people in Spain, I don’t think there’s any recall clause.

However, a return to the fold with the Whites is not on the cards either, as Saiz is desperate to stay in his homeland of Spain, says Hay.
I don’t believe so but in any case, there’s no chance that Saiz would want to come back and no chance Bielsa would want to involve him in the run-in.

Marcelo Bielsa must find a permanent solution to this issue in the summer, and agreeing a deal with Valencia looks like as good an answer to the riddle as any.
With Saiz’s time with the Whites all but at an end, the Leeds boss must turn his thoughts to securing a replacement for the Spaniard.
Saiz is an extremely talented player. He brought creativity and flair to the Leeds team and tellingly, despite not featuring since the start of December, only three Leeds players have bagged more assists than the Spaniard in the Championship this season.
Considering Bielsa’s side are pushing for promotion this season, the attacker’s invention and guile is exactly the sort of thing he’ll need to find more of if the club do find themselves preparing for life in the Premier League in this summer transfer window.
