VIDEO: In Remembrance of Gary Speed

Gary Speed tragically died a year to this day on Sunday 27th November 2011, aged just 42.

The then Wales manager had a glittering playing career in the top flight of English football and the fact that he was loved by fans at Leeds United, Everton, Newcastle United, Bolton Wanderers and Sheffield United says it all.

Here is a moving little montage of some of Speedo’s great strikes…

Speed was an all-action midfielder, had a rocket of a shot on him and a knack of scoring goals, as the above video shows.

He played more than 800 professional matches in his domestic career, scoring over 100 goals for the five clubs that he featured for.

Speed also played 85 times for Wales, captaining his country and finding the back of the net seven times.
