Where do we go from here?

Despite a quite reasonable performance again Nottingham Forest in which the Lions earned a good point, it still doesn't paper over the cracks at Millwall.

A game in which it seemed Forest didn't really get out of second gear and they still managed to equalise twice after the Lions went in front.

Looking at the squad we have, on paper it has the makings of the very good side, it's arguably the best for a club of our size especially with our resources available.

Compare this squad to last years and how many of us would refuse most of the players that were brought in?

Most likely all would've been welcomed with open arms. At the beginning of the season I thought we could do quite well, with the massive improvement from last year and the dreadful end to the season.

But the season has been so poor so far.

These players do not become bad ones overnight, there has to be a reason for why they are so poor week in week out.

I was one of the fans who wanted to give Lomas a chance, but he seems to be out of his depth. Poor decision after poor decision costing the Lions points every week.

Of course I want him to do well as it means the club does well, but it doesn't seem it'll happen.

Leicester was one of the worst performances I have seen in years, it seemed the players had lost before the kick off. It was just a complete and utter disaster from start to finish and if it wasn't for David Forde it could have been a rugby score.

And then seeing a Lomas quotes after the game about trying to hold out for as long as we can, did we really go up their to sit on the goal-line? We went up their last year and won with a much lower quality squad.

The fans have been crying out for 4-4-2 for weeks and the boss finally tried it out against Forest, but then plays Martyn Waghorn and drops Scott McDonald.

McDonald has done nothing wrong to be dropped and has been arguably our best player so far this season since he came from Middlesbrough.

We have one of the poorest defensive records in the division and with performances like they it's easy to see why.

At Leicester we let a player run from his own half unchallenged to score from our own corner - a defensive error too for the third.

Everytime an attack comes at us we panic, the only strong point at the moment is Forde and he may be off in January!

We have a squad capable of much higher, time is running out for you Lomas, you need to deliver and fast, otherwise you'll be out the door..
