Albert Adomah open to Middlesbrough return, fans react

Middlesbrough fans will be hoping for some late transfer business as the deadline edges closer.

The Championship outfit have made a handful of signings in this window, but it appears that manager Tony Pulis is on the hunt to add a few more.

According to BirminghamLive, Aston Villa are open to offloading Albert Adomah after the winger slipped down the pecking order.

The report claims that talks have already been held with Leeds United and Middlesbrough, but that the player would prefer a switch to the Riverside.

It is no surprise that he would opt for Boro over the Whites due to the fact that he has history with the former.

The Ghana international spent three years playing for the club, and during that time he reached the playoff final and achieved promotion to the Premier League.

Adomah, who scored 26 goals and created 19 assists in 143 appearances in all competitions for Boro, has been at Villa since 2016.

Judging by these latest reports, a return to the Riverside could be on the cards for the winger.

Boro fans have been tweeting their reactions.
