Middlesbrough have signed Valencia striker Alvaro Negredo, as confirmed by their official club website.
The Spain international will be well-known to Premier League fans from his spell at Manchester City, netting 23 times across all competitions as they lifted a League Cup and Premier League title during the 2013/14 campaign.
The 30-year-old then moved to Valencia but struggled for form at the Mestalla, netting just ten goals in 55 appearances during the club’s last two La Liga campaigns.
He’s been linked with a shock move to Middlesbrough frequently in recent weeks and the newly-promoted Premier League side have finally got their man, confirming Negredo’s arrival via their official website.
Aitor Karanka’s side have also signed three-time Champions League winner Victor Valdes, former Ajax forward Viktor Fischer, midfielder Marten de Roon and defender Bernardo Espinosa this summer.
