Middlesbrough could move for Burnley forward Sam Vokes this summer - as covered by The Northern Echo - and the Boro supporters have been reacting to the speculation.

Aden Flint and Paddy McNair have already joined Boro this summer, and more are expected to follow as head coach Tony Pulis, who is also believed to want Bristol City's Joe Bryan, looks to put together a squad capable of challenging for promotion next season.

Pulis is believed to want at least one new centre-forward, and the 6ft 2in tall Vokes has been linked with a move to the Riverside Stadium.

The 28-year-old joined Burnley from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2012, and he has scored 14 Premier League goals over the last two seasons.

Vokes only started seven Premier League matches for the Clarets last term, however, and could be open to leaving Turf Moor in this summer's transfer window.

The Boro supporters have offered their views on the potential deal, and it would be fair to say that they are desperate for their club to sign the Wales international.
