Middlesbrough forward Stephen Walker scored a hat-trick for England's Under-19 team in their 6-2 win over Macedonia Under-19s on Tuesday.

Walker, who only turned 18 last week, scored twice in the first period before adding a third from the penalty spot after the break.

The teenager came through the youth system at Boro, and has already appeared for the Championship outfit this term, featuring in the EFL Cup against Notts County.

Walker is yet to appear in the league, but his treble for England Under-19s would certainly have captured the attention of Boro boss Tony Pulis.

And now the club's supporters have urged Pulis to promote Walker.

Boro are currently fourth in the Championship table, having collected 22 points from their 12 matches at the start of the 2018-19 campaign.

Next up for the former Premier League side is a trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night, and the Boro fans are hopeful that Walker might earn a spot on the bench.
