According to TEAMtalk, Middlesbrough have been offered the chance to sign Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard on loan for the 2018-19 campaign.
Odegaard is back with Real Madrid following 18 months in Dutch football with Heerenveen, but it is understood that the 19-year-old will again leave on loan this summer.
Once regarded as one of the best young talents in world football, Odegaard’s career has stalled over the last couple of years, but there is a serious player in there somewhere.
It is understood that a number of Championship clubs are in the hunt, with Boro boss Tony Pulis considering a move before the loan window closes.
The Boro supporters have been reacting to the news on social media, and it would be fair to say that they are split over a potential deal for the 5ft 10in ace.
Indeed, whilst some would happily take a chance on the Norway international, there are those who feel that the club’s attentions should be elsewhere.

124 matches: 13 goals.
Only 3 last season from 38 matches in the Netherlands.
I know he’s only 19 but is he worth £30k/week? Loan someone showing better form.
