Blackburn Rovers are said to be keen to re-sign Middlesbrough midfielder Harry Chapman on loan before the August window shuts.
Chapman came through the youth system at Boro, but is yet to feature in the league for his club despite signing a professional contract at the start of 2015.
Chapman joined Blackburn on loan last summer, and scored once in 12 Championship appearances for the club.
The 5ft 9in ace’s campaign was cut short by a hamstring injury, however, which led to the midfielder returning to the Riverside Stadium.
Chapman was a substitute in Boro’s 2-1 win over Rochdale in the second round of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night though, and could now remain at the club.
Indeed, according to the Lancashire Telegraph, a move to Blackburn is unlikely at this stage of the window.
The Boro fans have been reacting to the news on social media, and many will be very pleased if that turns out to be the case.
