Middlesbrough fans react to Derby’s shock result against West Bromwich Albion

The promotion race in the Championship is tighter than ever, with a number of clubs jostling for the automatic positions.

There is a long way left to go before the winners and losers are decided but, right now, the top three of Leeds United, Middlesbrough and Sheffield United all have 26 points.

West Bromwich Albion are two points adrift in fourth place, and they suffered a wobble on Wednesday night.

Darren Moore’s team were beaten 4-1 at The Hawthorns by Frank Lampard-led Derby County.

Middlesbrough fans, in particular, took notice of the result as they will take on the Rams at the Riverside on Saturday.

Tony Pulis’s men were held to a goalless draw by Rotherham on Tuesday and they have not won at home since September 19 when they defeated Bolton Wanderers 2-0.

On Twitter, fans have been posting their thoughts ahead of the encounter.

Some are wary of Derby’s threat, while others are not fazed by the Rams’ win over West Brom due to the fact that Boro overcame the Baggies 1-0 after watching them destroy Queens Park Rangers 7-1 the previous week.
