Three reasons Middlesbrough could shock Liverpool
Midweek action returns to the Premier League with a full set of fixtures taking place tonight and tomorrow night.
One of those games is a tasty match between Middlesbrough and Liverpool at the Riverside Stadium. There’s a lot at stake for both sides, as Jurgen Klopp needs a win to keep pace with the other top four sides, while Aitor Karanka would love three points to keep clear of the relegation fight.
It’ll be an interesting tactical battle, too. Only four teams have conceded fewer league goals than Middlesbrough this season, Liverpool are not among them. On the flipside Liverpool have scored more goals than any other team in the league, Middlesbrough having scored the fewest.
That juxtaposition means everyone will be keeping a keen eye on what goes down on Wednesday night. Which style will come out on top?
