Valdes makes big career move

Middlesbrough’s Victor Valdes has proved to be a shrewd acquisition for Aitor Karanka’s side but the World Cup winner is preparing for the future, putting his hands to a new use by launching a new dating app.

Called ‘Hola Dating’, Valdes’ believes it will help those that struggle to break the ice when talking to the opposing sex- and it’s quite smart to listen to a smooth Spaniard for his advice in dating.

Speaking about his new venture on Twitter, the 34-year-old said

“Here I’m on the app and the system says ‘Hola’ and gives me a brown-orange colour. The system is giving me a completely random colour.

“Then, I show this message to the person I want to start a conversation with and that person can search for me and my profile thanks to the colour I’ve shown them. So then, we can start a conversation in a private channel.”

Valdes has already been kept busy this season by Middlesbrough’s return to the Premier League, where they recently earned a solid point on the road against Arsenal, but the challenges will continue to present themselves in the coming month as the Teesiders look to avoid an immediate drop back down to the Championship.

Formerly of Barcelona and Manchester United, albeit a brief and disappointing spell with the latter, Valdes has the experience to guide Middlesbrough to safety- and will perhaps lead his team-mates in finding love.
