Newcastle United are currently flying high in the Championship and are favourites to lift the title come the end of the season, with Rafael Benitez’s side in scintillating form in the league.
Following the weekend’s 3-0 victory over Ipswich Town, the Tyneside giants are enjoying a run of five consecutive wins and have remarkably won 10 of their last 12 matches in divisional action – their only defeat coming against Wolves last month.
That’s left the recently relegated outfit three points clear at the top of the standings and Benitez’s side should enjoy an immediate return to the Premier League. And things have just got even better thanks to Rob Elliot’s return from injury.

The stopper suffered a serious setback back in March but has now recommenced training with the club, which has clearly left him delighted.
The 30-year-old Irish international has never quite been a first-team regular at St James’ Park but his return gives Rafael Benitez increased strength in depth, which will certainly help the club’s promotion push.
