Things are looking good for Rafael Benitez’ Newcastle United, who won their seventh consecutive Championship game on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Cardiff City, and the future is also looking bright.
Newcastle have prized themselves in developing stars for the future throughout their history and there’s a new teenager causing a buzz behind the scenes; 21-year-old Yasin Ben El-Mhanni.
Previously dubbed the ‘non-league Riyad Mahrez, El-Mhanni signed for Newcastle in July, having spent time on-trial with Chelsea and West Brom, and the youngster found the net in Newcastle U23’s 2-0 victory over Middlesbrough last week.
In a new video posted by FFDTV, who specialise in showing the skills of young talents across British football, El-Mhanni has shown off a wealth of skills, tricks, footwork and nutmegs- some of which have never been seen before.
El-Mhanni is yet to feature for Newcastle’s first-team but it’s only a matter of time before he makes his mark on the big stage and Benitez can look forward to seeing this talent develop in the years ahead.
