Following the news that Norwich have agreed a fee with Besiktas for the sale of striker Nelson Oliveira, according to the Star, they should be in the market for a new forward to replace the Portuguese attacker.

What's the word, then?

Well, the former Benfica striker hasn't played for the Canaries since May earlier this year, allegedly because of behind the scenes issues involving the player's work rate.

The issue hasn't really affected the Canaries, who are currently top of the Championship and have two in-form strikers in Teemu Pukki and Jordan Rhodes, but Daniel Farke should be in the market for an Oliveira replacement as the games come thick and fast in England's second tier.

A championship season beholds 46 tough, tiresome fixtures, with those becoming more demanding when you're attempting to maintain your lead ahead of the chasing pack - Norwich will need added firepower to see their promotion push through.

Who should they get in?

One player who would provide an immediate impact and also be one for the future is Sunderland man Josh Maja.

The 19-year-old sensation has lit up League One with the Black Cats so far this season, scoring 11 goals in 16 starts for the promotion hopefuls whilst also recording two assists.

Impressively, the teenager's goals have helped his side sit second in England's third tier following their relegation from the Championship.

Farke has already overseen huge improvement in the likes of Max Aarons this season, and could work wonders with Maja if he is to get his hands on another young Englishman.

The youngster may not want to leave the club that gave him a chance in professional football, but potential Premier League football will definitely be on his mind should the Norfolk-based side come calling.

Any potential move could well be the difference between a quick return to the top-flight, or another season in the Championship for Norwich.
