HYS: Should Nottingham Forest make Gil Dias’ loan move permanent?

During the summer transfer window, Nottingham Forest made a number of big signings as Aitor Karanka was aided by super-agent Jorge Mendes, just as Wolves had been the year before.

One of Mendes’ clients who made the move to the City Ground was Gil Dias, and Karanka should work on making the 22-year-old’s loan move from Monaco permanent in the upcoming winter transfer window.

Dias has now made 17 appearances for the Reds in all competitions, but his only goal and assist have both come in the Carabao Cup as he continues to adapt to the pace and physicality of the Championship.

Karanka’s side lost to League 1 side Burton 3-2 in the cup on Tuesday in what was a disappointing evening for the Reds, but Dias’ performance was perhaps the bright spark and the Portuguese winger set up Grabban for his side’s first goal.

So, Forest fans, we want to know whether you think the club should sign Dias, who is valued at £2.7m by Transfermarkt, on a permanent deal in January or would the money be better spent elsewhere? Have your say by voting in the poll below.
