Nottingham Forest were dealt a huge and disappointing blow in their 3-0 loss to Millwall on Friday, but fans have identified one aspect of the game that pleased them.
That was the performance of John Bostock, who took to the field at half-time with the game already seemingly over due to the Lions’ three-goal cushion.
The midfielder entered the fray in difficult circumstances, made worse by the fact he had played just 12 minutes of action since late November prior to Friday’s clash.
Supporters were impressed with his display and that is understandable given he had a pass accuracy of 92%, as well as making one key pass and enjoying two shots on target, per WhoScored, with some of the praise for his performance found below.
You were a bright spot on a disappointing night. Onwards and upwards 😊

Sabri Lamouchi started with a midfield pairing of Ben Watson and Alfa Semedo but both disappointed considerably with WhoScored ratings of 6.2, and that may give the Forest boss cause for consideration.
The Reds are seemingly missing Samba Sow with just one win in four games since his injury absence, but Bostock may be able to fill the gap.
A lot of fans have called for him to be given more of a chance by Lamouchi, and it would seem that the team may need freshening up if they are to avoid a repeat of Friday’s frustration.
Given how little the 27-year-old has played that is seemingly unlikely to occur, however, with just one league start across the campaign.
Played well should be starting games

Good performance last night in the circumstances. Thought you passed it well. Hope you get more opportunities in the run-in.

Last two appearances you’ve been on point. Deserve more game time. Big role to play in the last push.

I’ll keep saying it until I’m blue in the face, for me you have to start games. Looked the part against Boro and again last night. Keep pushing, your chance will come.
