Eric Lichaj has been a Nottingham Forest player for five years, but it seems that his time at the City Ground is coming to an end.
According to the Nottingham Post, the defender, who has earned 15 caps for the USA national team, is on the verge of signing for Hull City, with the Reds keen for a £400,000 fee.
The full-back, who predominantly plays on the right but can switch to the left, has made 190 appearances in all competitions for the club.

The 29-year-old scooped Player of the Season at the end of the 2016-17 campaign, but after serving a suspension in February for a red-card offence, Lichaj had to jostle for his starting position.
Tendayi Darikwa moved above his teammate in the pecking order, and now it seems that manager Aitor Karanka is prepared to let go of the long-time club servant.
Forest fans have been tweeting their thoughts on the imminent departure, with many expressing gratitude towards Lichaj.
Hull getting an unbelievable bargain with Lichaj for just £400k. Darikwa not shown his consistency yet, and if we need a replacement for Eric already at a better level, expect to have to pay 3-8 times that #nffc

Lichaj is a hardworking, decent player, an evidently nice guy and has given us 5 years solid service. Anything but thanks is utterly embarrassing. #NFFC

Lichaj is a steady player for the championship. I’d have him as back up but the fact Karanka is getting rid is a sign of intent. Steady isn’t good enough #nffc

Regarding Eric Lichaj. Ultimately he did a decent job in a very average period at #NFFC. Too many people judge him on his family’s (*wife’s) publicity too, which is unfair. And as for tweets about moving on from mediocrity, Darikwa really needs to pull his socks up this season.

Ill be sad to see Lichaj go, good luck in the future. I wont boo you if you come back to the ground you played a part in our team when times were tough. #NFFC

Lichaj is on his way out of Forest.
He may not have been blessed with the most talent and I agree with many fans we should have more quality if promotion is the aim but there is absolutely no doubt he always gave 100%
Good luck. I’ll always remember ‘THAT’ goal ⚽️??#NFFC

Can’t believe how many people are so upset about Lichaj leaving. He’s been a decent enough player and I like him but if we’re really building a team that can aim for the top 6 then we need to show more ambition. #nffc

Some of the eulogising regarding Lichaj is a bit much, but equally some of the criticism is too far. He’s not a brilliant full back like Viv Anderson, & he’s not terrible like Eaden. Decent, did a job, put a serious shift in, but we need better to get to where we want to be #nffc
