Nottingham Forest fans are on cloud 9 this week following the arrivals of two Portuguese stars.
Joao Carvalho and Diogo Goncalves completed moves to the Championship outfit from Benfica on Thursday.
The pair will add extra dimensions to the Reds’ attacking setup, with Carvalho – signed for a club-record fee – pulling the strings from midfield and his teammate providing creativity from the wing.
The club announced that Carvalho has agreed a five-year deal, which will be signed on July 1, while Goncalves will initially join on a season-long loan with he option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign.

This will be Aitor Karanka’s first season in charge of Forest following his January appointment, and he will be hoping for a much better finish.
The club finished 17th in the second tier, 22 points adrift of the playoff spots and 12 above the drop zone.
This time around, the Reds will aim to earn a spot in the Premier League, and with these new arrivals, they are certainly heading in the right direction.
Forest fans tweeted their delight once the announcement was made.
Someone hold me it’s actually happened.
