Nottingham Forest fans react as Paul Taylor says club want Championship winger

According to Nottingham Post journalist Paul Taylor on his official Twitter account, Nottingham Forest are interested in late move for a Championship winger before Thursday’s deadline, and Reds fans were quick to react.

Martin O’Neill completed the second signing for the club since he replaced Aitor Karanka earlier this month when it was announced via nottinghamforest.co.uk that Pele had signed on loan until the end of the campaign earlier on Thursday, but the former Republic of Ireland manager doesn’t appear to be finished there if Taylor’s latest update is to be believed.

The interest in the wide man suggests that the 66-year-old is still keen to strengthen his team on the flanks, where he has little quality and depth beyond Matty Cash and Joe Lolley as things stand.

Nottingham Forest supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the fact that the club could still look to push through a deal for the mystery winger before 11pm, and while one said “such a tease”, another said “please not McClean”.
