Nottingham Forest fans react as Roy Keane returns to the City Ground

Nottingham Forest fans have taken to Twitter to react following Roy Keane’s first home game since returning to the City Ground at the end of January, after being appointed as Martin O’Neill’s assistant manager

The Irishman spent three seasons with Forest as a player and racked up over 100 appearances for the Reds, and his no-nonsense approach has sparked excitement from some fans who feel that the former midfielder will scare the players into form.

In taking the job, Keane was reunited with O’Neill, having worked alongside the former Aston Villa boss with the Republic of Ireland national team, guiding them to the last 16 of the European Championships back in 2016 and out of a group including Belgium and Italy.
