Nottingham Forest fans want to see Tomlin weaving his magic again

Nottingham Forest target Lee Tomlin has been told he can leave Cardiff City this summer, according to The Nottingham Post.

The 29-year-old forward, rated at £2.7m by Transfermarkt, spent the second half of last season on loan at the City Ground where he scored four goals and registered three assists during his spell.

The journeyman only signed for Cardiff last summer but it appears they are ready to let him go this summer as they prepare for life in the top flight.

According to the report, Tomlin has been told he can leave the club this summer, but with his wage increase following promotion, it may be tricky for Forest to sign him on a permanent deal.

It was reported earlier in the summer by the same publication that Nottingham Forest were keen on bringing the tricky forward back to the East Midlands this transfer window, but now Aitor Karanka has strengthened his striking options, it’s unclear whether he’s still in for Tomlin.

Nottingham Forest fans have been reacting to the news on social media and here’s what they’ve had to say.
