According to our recent poll, the slight majority of Nottingham Forest fans would like the loan move of Gil Dias to be made permanent in the January transfer window.
During the summer transfer window this year, Nottingham Forest made a number of big signings as manager Aitor Karanka was aided by super-agent Jorge Mendes, just as Wolves had been the year before.
One of Mendes’ clients who made the move to the City Ground was Dias, who swapped Monaco for Nottingham on a season-long loan.
The 22-year-old has now made 18 appearances for the Reds in all competitions, but his only goal and assist have both come in the Carabao Cup as he continues to adapt to the pace and physicality of the Championship, and his use mainly as a substitute so far would perhaps be the main reason that 45 per cent of Forest fans were against a permanent deal.
