QPR are interested in signing Huddersfield Town centre-back Michael Hefele according to HITC Sport.

What's the story?

The 27-year-old signed for Huddersfied in 2016 from Dynamo Dresden and he has gone on to make 42 appearances for the Terriers, but just two of them came last season in the Premier League via the substitutes' bench.

The 6ft 4in colossus is valued at £1.35million on Transfermarkt and QPR have reportedly made enquiries about his availability as Steve McClaren looks to bolster his defensive options this summer.

Solid Championship addition

Hefele showed in the 2016-17 season what a talent he was at Championship level and was a key part of the Huddersfield spine that won promotion to the Premier League.

QPR desperately need reinforcements at the back and McClaren has only managed to bring in Toni Leistner on a free this summer.

Hefele would be a solid option that would really help shore up the QPR defence as they look to improve on their 16th place position.
