Eberechi Eze scored his third Championship goal of the campaign as Queens Park Rangers recorded a 2-0 home win over Millwall on Wednesday night.
Eze, 20, signed a new contract with the R’s during the summer, and has been in excellent form for the second-tier club in recent weeks.
According to the London Evening Standard, scouts from the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City watched him against Millwall.
And a number of QPR fans feel that the inevitable will eventually happen.
Indeed, if Eze continues to score goals from midfield then the R’s will find it very difficult to keep hold of him on a long-term basis.
Millwall actually released Eze in 2016, with the 5ft 8in ace deemed not good enough.
That has turned out to be a bit of a mistake, however, with Eze currently starring for a QPR side on the way up following a tough start to the 2018-19 campaign.
A selection of the Twitter reaction from the QPR fans can be seen below:
Eze is an absolute pleasure to watch play football. Just hope we can hold on to him as long as possible #QPR

Will we get promoted before Eze is gone? #QPR

Eze is already more complete than Adel & he will go on to be the better player aswell and there is absolutely no one that can tell me any different.

Ebere Eze is going to be a huge talent. Hope we can keep him for a while before one of the big boys come calling #qpr

I rated him from the first time I saw him. Said he would be the next great Rangers’ number 10! Doubt if we can hold onto him though. 😢

Gareth called this last year. Said he was as good as any young talent he’d seen.
