Throughout his management career, Steve McClaren has been the butt of the joke rather frequently.

At the moment, though, the Queens Park Rangers fanbase are delighted with the impact that he has made at Loftus Road.

In May, the former England boss replaced Ian Holloway as QPR manager, signing a two-year deal.

The 2018-19 season started off miserably for the club as they lost their opening four Championship matches.

However, they have since found their rhythm and rather than look as though a relegation scrap was on the cards, they sit two points off the play-off places after 17 games.

The team have only recorded one defeat in their last seven fixtures, and on Saturday they earned a 3-2 win over Brentford.

McClaren's side came from behind thanks to goals from Massimo Luongo, Joel Lynch and Nahki Wells.

After the match, plenty of QPR fans took to Twitter to praise the manager for his influence.
